“Deciding to support a small local shop (I'm a believer that Singaporeans should support our fellow Singaporeans when we can) due to the Straits Times article, I made an appointment in the early afternoon.

 

As a precursor to the appointment itself, the many questions I posed online were patiently answered quickly.

 

On the day itself, we were warmly greeted by Hazel herself and went through an extremely detailed eye screening process unlike most places that mostly spend 5 to 10 minutes rushing through the basic process of obtaining your prescription.

Quality eyecare at its finest.

 

She took the time to explain and also did so with sincerity and a pleasant vibe that made us feel at home.

At no point was she pushy and we were even allowed to view samples of the lens and even scratch test them.

 

To further reinforce her explanations of the different brands, she actually proffered the use of her own glasses to let us actually see and experience the difference which was very helpful in our choice of what kind of lens to choose.

 

The frame selection she offers is decent and we managed to quickly find frames that we liked.

 

Overall we spent quite a fair bit (actually way more than I had budgeted) but we left the shop satisfied due to her impeccable service standards and professionalism.

 

In my 20+ years of experience with local shops, none have managed to convince me to return.

Hazel definitely has.”
